Leh Ladakh Summer Packages

Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to the hotel. Half-day tour of Nishat Garden and Shalimar Garden, both built by Mughal-era royalty on the banks of Dal Lake. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake (up to 1 hour). Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Visit Gulmarg (2,730m), the “Meadow of Flowers,” known for the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world (1st & 2nd phase tickets on direct payment basis). Return to Srinagar in the evening for overnight stay.

Visit Pahalgam (2,440m), the “Valley of Shepherds,” en route passing saffron fields, Avantipur Ruins, and the Anantnag sulphur spring. Optionally visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, and Aru Valley (direct payment basis). Return to Srinagar for overnight stay.

Drive toward Kargil via Sonmarg (2,740m) and the Zoji La Pass (3,527m), the “Gateway of Ladakh.” Stop in Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, for tea and a passport check, and visit the War Memorial Hall & Museum. Continue to Kargil (2,710m) for overnight stay.

Cross three passes en route to Leh, including Fotu La (13,749 ft), the highest on this route. Visit the Buddhist village of Mulbek with its giant rock-carved Buddha sculpture, and Lamayuru Monastery, set amid striking moonscape terrain. Continue to Nimmu to view the Zanskar-Indus river confluence, then visit Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, and Pathar Sahib Gurudwara before reaching Leh (3,500m) for overnight stay.

Visit Sindhu Darshan on the banks of the Indus River, followed by Shey Palace (Ladakh’s ancient capital) and Thiksey Monastery, known for its Ladakhi architecture, stupas, and wall paintings. Continue to Hemis Monastery (built 1630), the largest monastic foundation of the Drukpa Kagyu order, followed by a visit to the “3 Idiots” school. Return to Leh in the evening to visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay in Leh.

Travel to Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world (5,602m/18,380 ft). Visit the sand dunes at Hunder, with optional camel ride, cultural dance show, and ATV ride (own cost). Time permitting, visit Diskit Monastery. Check in and overnight stay in Nubra.

Travel via Khalsar, Shyok, and Durbuk to Pangong Lake, an Indo-China border lake known for its shifting colors and featured in films like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Overnight stay at a campsite near Pangong Lake.

Enjoy breakfast near Pangong Lake before driving back to Leh via Durbuk and Tangtse, with a stop at Chang La Pass for tea. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, depart for Leh Airport.
