About This Tour

A six-day road circuit from Vadodara to Ahmedabad through Gujarat’s pilgrimage coast. It starts with the Statue of Unity at Kevadia, then runs through Bhavnagar to the sea-set Nishkalank Mahadev Temple and the island town of Diu. From there it reaches Somnath, Porbandar and Dwarka, with a full local day for Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Bet Dwarka, and ends with a heritage tour of Ahmedabad.

Day 01 :

Vadodara, Statue of Unity, Bhavnagar

Pick up at Vadodara and drive to Kevadia for the Statue of Unity, the Viewing Gallery over the Narmada Valley, the Valley of Flowers, Sardar Patel Museum and Sardar Sarovar Dam. Then continue to Bhavnagar (stated as about 350 km, 7–8 hrs; see Flags). Overnight in Bhavnagar.

Day 02 :

Bhavnagar, Nishkalank Mahadev, Diu, Somnath

After breakfast, visit Nishkalank Mahadev, a Shiva temple in the Arabian Sea that can be reached only at low tide. Drive on to Diu for Diu Fort, Naida Caves, St. Paul’s Church and Nagoa Beach. Later continue to Somnath, about 320 km (7–8 hrs) for the day. Overnight in Somnath.

Day 03 :

Somnath, Porbandar, Dwarka

Visit Somnath Temple, Triveni Sangam, Bhalka Tirth and Geeta Mandir. Drive about 240 km (5–6 hrs) to Dwarka, stopping at Porbandar for Kirti Mandir and Sudama Temple. Attend the evening Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple. Overnight in Dwarka.

Day 04 :

Dwarka and Bet Dwarka

Start with the Mangala Aarti and darshan at Dwarkadhish Temple, then visit Gomti Ghat, Rukmini Devi Temple and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga. Take the boat from Okha to Bet Dwarka, visiting Hanuman Dandi Temple, the old Krishna temples and the coastal viewpoints, then return to Dwarka (about 60 km). Overnight in Dwarka.

Day 05 :

Dwarka to Ahmedabad

After breakfast, drive about 450 km (8–9 hrs) across Saurashtra to Ahmedabad, with highway tea and food stops on the way. Arrive by evening. The rest of the evening is free for markets and Gujarati food. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 06 :

Ahmedabad City Tour and Departure

Tour Sabarmati Ashram, Adalaj Stepwell, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, Sabarmati Riverfront and Kankaria Lake, with time for Law Garden market and Manek Chowk food market (about 40 km). Drop at Ahmedabad airport or railway station.
