About This Tour

A 6-night circuit through the hills of Himachal Pradesh and the spiritual heart of Punjab. The trip covers Dharamshala’s Tibetan Buddhist culture and McLeodganj, the scenic hill stations of Dalhousie and Khajjiar (dubbed the “Mini Switzerland of India”), and concludes in Amritsar with the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah Border ceremony.

Day 01 :

Amritsar to Dharamshala

Arrive at Amritsar Airport/Railway Station and drive to Dharamshala (approx. 3 hrs). Check in and, in the evening, visit the Local Market and Kotwali Bazaar. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 02 :

Dharamshala Local Sightseeing

Visit McLeodganj and the Tsuglagkhang Complex, the official residence of the 14th Dalai Lama, home to Namgyal Gompa, a Tibet museum, library, café, and souvenir shop. Continue to Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, St. John Church, the War Memorial, Cricket Stadium, and local market. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 03 :

Dharamshala to Dalhousie Local (120 km / 5-6 hrs)

Check out and drive to Dalhousie. On arrival, visit Panchpula Waterfall and St. John’s Church, along with St. Francis and St. Patrick’s churches, Subhash Chowk, and the Tibetan Market. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

Day 04 :

Khajjiar & Dalhousie

Visit Khajjiar (22 km from Dalhousie), known for Khajjiar Lake and lush greenery, often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” Return to Dalhousie in the evening for overnight stay. (Winter note: Khajjiar sightseeing is subject to road conditions and government rules during snowfall; an alternate route via Chamba, if possible, is extra chargeable on the spot.)

Day 05 :

Dalhousie to Amritsar (200 km / 6-7 hrs)

Drive to Amritsar (approx. 6-7 hrs). Check in and enjoy an overnight stay with dinner.

Day 06 :

Amritsar Local Sightseeing

Visit the Golden Temple, one of the holiest Sikh Gurudwaras, followed by Jallianwala Bagh, site of the 1919 massacre. Continue to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and ISKCON Temple. In the evening, witness the retreat ceremony at Attari (Wagah) Border. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Amritsar Drop

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Amritsar Airport/Railway Station for onward journey.
